Governing Boards Goals:

  • Students who transfer to a baccalaureate degree granting institution will be prepared to successfully attain their educational goals.

  • Students will demonstrate post-secondary competencies.

  • Students will experience a seamless transfer to baccalaureate degree granting institutions.

  • Students will successfully complete certificate and associate degree programs.

DEFINITIONS OF TRANSFER STUDENTS

Traditional Transfer Students:   Students who have attended at least one of the colleges and then apply for admission and transfer to a baccalaureate institution as new students.

Dual Enrollment:   Students who are enrolled in high school and who have taken courses that receive college credit during the high school day.

Co-enrollment:   A student may be enrolled at one of the colleges and a baccalaureate institution at the same time.

Swirling Students:  Students who have been admitted to a degree program at a baccalaureate institution and take courses at one of the colleges to be transferred and applied toward a baccalaureate degree.
