Frequently Asked Questions

What if I'm undecided about my major - or my transfer institution?

ANSWSER:

Whether you are decided or undecided about a major or institution, but know that you will eventually transfer, it's best to begin with the Arizona General Education Curriculum (AGEC), a component of the statewide transfer Associate Degree programs. The completed AGEC will satisfy your lower-division general education requirements at any Arizona public university.

In the meantime, you should take a look at the different university degrees and pathways that are available to you. It's never too early to begin planning for a smooth transfer to another post-secondary institution. Your decisions and commitment to a specific program and institution directly impact the success of transferring credits. We recommend the following:

• By the time you have earned 6 credits - declare your intent to transfer
• By the time you have earned 24 credits - declare your major and institution.

Please work closely with your advisor to determine the best way to achieve your transfer goals! Remember - the longer you wait to make a decision, the more you risk delaying degree completion.
