Courses: Special Projects (Independent Study) Course
Special Projects are organized and tailored to the interests and needs of an individual student. They are structured to provide an atmosphere of individualized research and study paralleled by professional expertise and guidance. In addition, professional-type facilities and equipment are made available for student use. These Special Projects allow the best aspects of independent study and individualized learning to maximize student development.
The variable credit options for Special Projects are included in the District Course Inventory Audit or course bank by the MCCCD Center for Curriculum and Transfer Articulation personnel for each new academic and occupational discipline once the proposal is submitted and approved.
Special Projects courses are numbered 298 in the District Course Inventory Audit.
