Description: The Certificate of Completion (CCL) in Construction Trades: Painting and Drywalling program is designed to provide knowledge and skills in the painting and drywalling trade. Course work includes courses in painting and drywalling. Specifically, the courses train apprentices to paint from ladders and scaffolds, prepare and paint various types of surfaces, and handle all types of painting equipment. Upon completion of this program, apprentices are considered to be journeymen in the painting trade.

Program Accreditation/Certification or Licensure Information:
Journeyman status through the Arizona Department of Commerce, Apprenticeship Services Division, U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training.

Admission Criteria:
Admission to the program by the following registered apprenticeship program: Phoenix Painters and Drywall Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee

8.Produce a completed glazed, antique, wood grain, marbleized and stippled finish. (PNT104)
9.Complete a texture painted, gilded and decorative stenciled finish. (PNT104)
10.Recognize and correct potential safety and health hazards on the job site. (PNT104)
11.Read and interpret specifications, schedules and drawings inherent to the painting trade. (PNT201)
12.Prepare, operate, maintain, and store abrasive blasting equipment. (PNT201)
13.Demonstrate water blasting and steam cleaning procedures. (PNT201)
