Creating the Moratorium Request
Occ Prog General Information Once the need to suspend the availability of a program or to reactivate a program has been determined, required program information and certain processing information must be developed. When the proposal is ready for processing, this moratorium information is entered onto the curriculum processing form in the Academic Curriculum Review and Evaluation System (ACRES).
At the ACRES homepage, click on the Moratorium Request link and enter the required information in the form:
Initiating College: Using the drop-down menu, indicate the initiating college.
Request Type: Using the drop-down menu, indicate whether this is a request to place the program on moratorium or to reinstate the program. 1
Award Type: Using the drop-down menu, select the award type
Major Code: Enter the major code
Program Availability: Check the appropriate box to indicate program availability
Program Title: Enter the full program title
Effective Year: Enter the 4-digit year when the program will again become available
Effective Term: Using the drop-down menu, select the term when the program will again become available
Comments: Provide a brief rationale that explains why the program is being placed on moratorium or why it is being reinstated.
