Description: The Associate in Applied Science (AAS) in Social Service Aide curriculum prepares students for careers in the field of human services with public, private, and non-profit community agencies. Social Service Aide is a broad term used to describe a variety of jobs, i.e., case aides, case management assistants, human service workers, community support workers, mental health aides, paraprofessionals, health aides, community outreach workers, residential treatment workers, etc. In addition to preparing students for employment, this curriculum also provides volunteer opportunities for students within the community.
