Western Governors University (WGU) is a not-for-profit institution that serves busy adults with 100% online degree programs.
WGU is regionally accredited by the Northwest Association of Coslleges and Universities and is nationally accredited by Distance Education Training Council. The Teachers College at WGU is the only online education program to be endorsed by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education programs.

Transfer credit and admission requirements
WGU accepts general education credits from regionally accredited community colleges for lower division courses. The admission requirements for the BS in Nursing are an unencumbered RN license and an associate’s degree. There are required lower division courses required for admission to the undergraduate education courses, which can be obtained by clicking on the WGU url below or calling an enrollment counselor at 866-225-5948.
Our program does not require a minimum GPA. However, WGU does use admission criteria and an online entrance exam to identify those students who are more likely to succeed in online study

Enrollment
Semesters are six months long and begin on the first of every month. Students are required to complete three courses in a semester. Courses are self-paced. If you are able to complete more than three courses in a semester, say, four or five, there is no additional charge.
WGU is competency-based. If you have knowledge and skills from prior academic and work experience you will be able to draw upon that knowledge to complete your assessments (examinations) and finish your degree faster.
You can apply to WGU online. Depending on your degree of interest, you may have also need to submit prior transcripts and additional information. Apply online at:
