Transfer Week continued...
During the week, there will be Roundtable Discussion to help shape a District message related to transfer student success. Maricopa faculty, college administrators, and staff are invited to participate in the dialogue. In addition to the planned events for the week, colleges are encouraged to host parallel and complementary events during this time. This could include a campaign for completing the AGEC certificate and Associate degree, an interest session on transfer options for particular majors, or just promoting the events for transfer week at the college.
To help support college efforts, the Transfer Planning Committee is developing a companion brochure outlining the week's events and assisting students in planning their academic pathway. The recommended steps for students include: Explore, Prepare, Decide, and Transfer. Critical elements during each of these stages are students support services and completion of the general education core and Associate degree, which are the foundation of the transfer pathways.
