Make Yourself at Home While You’re Away from Home: ASU's offer To Maricopa Employees
Community college colleagues, next time you’re visiting Arizona State University (ASU) and need a space to do a little work between meetings, you’re welcome to come over to our place. ASU’s Office of Transfer Partnerships is located north of ASU’s Tempe campus in the Community Services Building, just off the northeast corner of Curry and Mill, in the former hospital facility on the hill. Parking is free and plentiful. Come up to the third floor and check in with Joan in Room 302. She will help you get settled in our workroom where there is a computer, a phone, and work spaces for several people. There are vending machines and restrooms close by. We would be delighted to see you and hope you will comfortable using the space anytime you are visiting ASU. For more information or directions, please call 602-496-1381.
Fall 2010 Transfer Fairs
The Maricopa Community Colleges will be hosting fall University Transfer Fairs. The fairs will help Maricopa students learn about opportunities for transferring to four-year universities, including how to apply to universities, how to transfer Associate degrees, and which programs are offered at universities.

New ABOR Policy For Assured Admission Effective this Fall
Last year, the Arizona Board of Regents (ABOR) voted to increase the admission requirements for transfer students to Arizona’s state universities (ASU, NAU, U of A) starting in the fall of 2010. This policy change was based upon research about transfer student success and speaks volumes about the confidence placed in the academic preparation provided by Arizona’s community colleges. Franklin University to Add New Online Majors
Franklin University, an online partner of the Maricopa Community Colleges since 2002, has announced that beginning in the fall of 2010 there will be three new bachelor’s degree completion majors available to Maricopa students. These programs are Business Economics, Financial Planning, and Interactive Media Design -- bringing the total of available online majors from Franklin University to twenty eight.
