The Academic Assessment and Research Office is focused on academic assessment and research; the coordination of MCCCD's Institutional Review Board (IRB); development of common information for Higher Learning Commission (HLC)/MCCCD; analysis of national trends and implications for instructional policy and programs; data collection, analysis and report in support of grants development and evaluation of programs and services.

The Arizona Small Business Development Center
Network is an innovative partnership between the state's ten community
college districts and the U.S. Small Business Administration. The
SBDC specializes in one-on-one confidential small business counseling
and training.

The Center serves as the central resource
that connects and supports workforce development programs and available
resources through the Maricopa Community Colleges to any business
or organization, public or private, in the Greater Phoenix area. This
ensures that the regional economy has a skilled labor pool which meets
the existing and emerging workforce needs of the employer community.
Center for Curriculum and Transfer Articulation (CCTA)
Director: Andrea Buehman The Center for Curriculum and Transfer Articulation is committed to the development and continuous improvement of curriculum and articulation services, resources, and systems. The Center supports the MCCCD faculty and administration in the development of quality curriculum by the faculty for MCCCD students, and the articulation of the curriculum to post-secondary institutions. The Center collaborates with internal and external partners in the development of student-centered policies and resources that facilitate the transfer of students to post-secondary institutions.

The HCIES is comprised of over 25 health care
programs offered throughout the Maricopa Community Colleges. The HCIES
provides a variety of support services to students, faculty and the
health care industry including nursing program admissions, assessment
programs, clinical site coordination, data collection and reporting,
and continuing education courses.

MATEC (Maricopa Advanced Technology Education
Center) is a specially funded national center of excellence that creates
and delivers competency-based curriculum, faculty development training
and workforce development. MATEC's primary focus is semiconductor
manufacturing and its related industries.

To foster student success, the Maricopa Center
for Learning and Instruction is dedicated to supporting and advancing
teaching and learning by working collaboratively with faculty, administrators,
and district-wide groups to provide quality services, programs, and
resources.

The National Center for Teacher Education provides leadership to develop strategies and solutions that will impact the PreK-12 teacher shortage on a local, state, and national level. The Center works with educational, community, business, and government partners to support the recruitment, preparation, and retention of quality teachers.
