Hospital Central Service Technicians are employed in the Central Service Department of Health Care Facilities. The department provides vital support to all areas of patient care such as sterilizing, assembling, cleaning and storing diagnostic and surgical equipment.

Licensure/Certification:
Successful completion of the program prepares students for the certification exam, the International Association of Healthcare Central Services Material Management Certified Central Service Technician examination.

Hospital Service Technicians earn on average from $9.75 to $13.75 an hour or approximately $20,300 to $28,600 annually.
