#1 – Mesa Community College Highlighted on CollegeBoard.com
In January, the School of Education at Mesa Community College was highlighted in the MyRoad.com section of CollegeBoard.com. The purpose of the website is to help college students be successful, and it is sponsored by the makers of college assessments such as the SAT and CLEP tests.
The article focuses on the Associate of Arts in Elementary Education (AAEE) degree, the Teaching and Learning Communities (TLC), the Xalapa, Mexico summer study abroad program, and the MCC-ASU Teacher Alliance (TEALL). A current AAEE student, Elizabeth Franklin, and an AAEE graduate who is now attending Arizona State University, Janine Crow, were interviewed for the article. They comment on the positive teacher preparation experiences gained while attending Mesa Community College.
