Opportunities for Future Educators

AmeriCorps/Project Ayuda - provides students with community service opportunities for which they may receive scholarship awards.

Early Childhood Education

Paradise Valley Community College’s Early Childhood Education Program is designed to give students a career path as well as the opportunity to choose from a wide variety of course offerings. Early Childhood Education faculty at PVCC have either a Master’s degree or National Teacher Board Certification, and years of experience in the field. They are committed to creating a caring community of learners, enhancing teaching and learning, and creating reciprocal relationships with students. Early childhood degree and certificate options include:

  • 61 to 64-credit Associate in Arts (AA) Degree (Although it may be accepted by other colleges and universities, this degree is designed specifically for students who plan to transfer to ASU’s Bachelor of Arts in Education (B.A.E) Early Childhood Education degree program.)
  • 64-credit Associate of Applied Science (AAS) Degree
  • 36-credit Certificate of Completion Coursework and assistance for individuals working on the Child Development Associate (CDA) credential
  • Support for individuals working toward Arizona’s Early Childhood Education Teaching Certificate and Endorsement
