For Students:

I HAVE TAKEN COLLEGE COURSES

As a student who has taken some college courses you will generally follow the same path as a new student with some exceptions. These exceptions depend upon where you are at in your academic career. Once you meet with your community college advisor you will have a clear path to your goal - you BIS in Organizational Studies degree!

The Path

  • Send official transcripts from all previously attended institutions to your Maricopa Community College
  • Contact a Maricopa Community College Advisor
  • Join the ASU/MCCCD BIS Alliance
  • Have all transfer credits evaluated (MCCCD)
  • Successfully complete AGEC (AGEC-A, -B, or -S) coursework at any Maricopa Community College
  • Apply for AGEC certification (MCCCD)
  • Apply to ASU as a degree-seeking student
  • Send all non-Maricopa Community College official transcripts to ASU
  • Work with your ASU academic advisor to begin coursework at ASU
  • Take BIS 300 (ASU) - students may take more ASU courses if desired
  • Successfully complete Associate's degree (AA, AS, or ABus) (MCCCD)
  • Apply for Associate's degree (MCCCD)
  • Complete additional electives in consultation with MCCCD and ASU advisor to reach 75 credits (MCCCD)
  • Transition to ASU 100% and successfully complete BIS on-line coursework (ASU)
  • File for graduation and become a future Sun Devil alumni! (ASU)
