An Alliance With A Mission To Better Serve Our Community Of Students

The Nursing Alliance is a new partnership between Arizona State University and Maricopa Community Colleges designed to assist individuals who have previously earned, or are currently pursuing, an Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree in Nursing from one of the Maricopa Community Colleges and desire to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from ASU. This exciting partnership helps individuals successfully transition from their AAS nursing program at one of the Maricopa Community Colleges to the baccalaureate program track (RN-BSN) at ASU College of Nursing.

As a participant in the Nursing Alliance, you will be eligible to receive unique services and benefits from both the Maricopa Community Colleges and ASU that include, but are not limited to:

  • Transfer of up to 75 lower division credit hours from your AAS degree to the BSN degree at ASU
  • Targeted scholarship programs
  • Specialized academic advising designed to meet the unique needs of nursing students and facilitate a smooth transition to ASU
  • Access to student services at both academic institutions (e.g., financial aid, athletic events, tutoring services, recreational facilities, and library services)
  • Sponsored events that will contribute to your understanding of the nursing profession and opportunities to advance your nursing education

We are dedicated to your success and assure you that the Nursing Alliance will enrich your educational experiences at Maricopa Community Colleges and Arizona State University.
