Pre-Nursing Students
If you are currently taking pre-requisite courses to apply to Maricopa Community Colleges District Nursing Program (MCCDNP), you are considered a pre-nursing student. Please make an appointment with a nursing advisor listed. There are choices you can make during this period that will greatly streamline your requirements to enter the ASU RN to BSN Program Track. Each of the colleges that offer the Maricopa District Nursing Program has a dedicated person to advise pre-nursing students.
Please join the Nursing Alliance program by completing the declaration of intent so that you receive updates and other communication from the College and ASU.
When you see your Alliance advisor, ask that you use the MCCD Nursing Alliance check sheet (.pdf). This sheet will guide you to complete the pre-requisite courses that meet both of the nursing program requirements. By taking these courses, you can begin the ASU RN to BSN Program Track program upon graduation from Maricopa.
Once all requirements are satisfied for entry into Maricopa’s nursing
program, you may have a wait to enter the program. During those months, you
can complete some of the upper division, non-nursing courses required for the
BSN.
