Mr. Buddy Hing - Co-President of APIA, successfully coordinated and managed APIA booth at the annual Chinese Week at the Chinese Cultural Center on February 7, 8, and 9. This event was put together annually by the Chinese Association and usually attracted a large crowd of over 200,000 people. APIA has been sponsoring a booth each year for the past 10 years. The following officers were there to help manning the booth and also to show their supports for this important community event: Dr. Arunee Grow-MCC, Ms. Emi Kawasaki -MCC, Ms. Loida Harkness- DO; Mr. Gordon Ong -RioCC, Mr. Bill Tse -Gateway; Ms. Dzung Tran -SMCC, and Ms Mai Huynh-Catholic Social Services. Ms. Ruth Yandell - MCC Music faculty and Immediate Past President of APIA was the featured soloist with the Civic Orchestra of Tucson at the University of Arizona's Crowder Hall on February 16th and at Heritage Highlands on February 23rd. Ruth performed Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue.
