(administrators, faculty, students, and staff) from the ten campuses as well as
with APIA community (elected and appointed officials and community leaders).
These contacts will help enrich and enhance each member’s professional,
community-involvement, and personal life.

Interact with a diverse ethnic group to
enhance awareness and improve communications and relationship in a diverse
culture.

Receive an opportunity to attend various social
and cultural events to get to know APIA colleagues and various ethnic cultures.

Assist and work with other APIA members
including students to help in various issues such as employment, scholarship,
and leadership skills.

Have an official forum to address
member’s concerns or problems on employment issues, civil rights, etc.,

Actively participate in making
recommendations for career advancement for qualified APIA members as well as
recruiting qualified APIA community members for job opportunities in the
Maricopa College District.
