DR. ARUNEE GROW
APIA Co-President


Arunee graduated from Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand with a B.A. in Economics.  She went on to receive her M.A. and Ph.D. in Economics from University of Cincinnati, Ohio. 

Upon the completion of her Ph.D., Arunee taught economics at University of Cincinnati for six years before joining the Social Science Department at Mesa Community College (MCC) in 1984.  Arunee teaches principle of micro and macroeconomics courses.

Arunee is an active APIA member and is one of the first charter members of APIA.  In 1985, she and Lo-An Tabar-Gaul found the first MCCD Asian Student Association at MCC.  This association later became the Asian/Pacific Islander Coalition (A-PIC).  Arunee has served as the faculty advisor for A-PIC for many years mentoring and providing annual scholarships to our students at MCC.  She was voted by APIC students and awarded the "Advisor of the Year" twice by the MCC Student Association.

Arunee is currently Co-Chair of MCC's President Advisor on Affirmative Action Committee as well as APIA's Co-President Elect.
