Ms. Jennie Kim-Patterson
APIA Honorary Deceased Member

Jennie was a private piano instructor and an adjunct faculty member in the Music Department, Mesa Community College.  As an active church musician, she also played for a number of churches in the Valley and in the Indianapolis area. In addition, she had the opportunity to perform with a variety of prominent musicians, including the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra.

After completing undergraduate studies in piano at Sookmyung University in Korea, Jennie began studying organ first with Dr. Myun J. Cho at Yonsei University and later in the graduate program at the Indiana University School of Music in Bloomington, Indiana. Since moving to the Valley six years ago, Jennie was involved with the Korean community, being one of the founding members of the Phoenix Korean Ensemble, and participating as a musician in various community events.

In addition, Jennie was a member of the American Guild of Organists where she served as an officer, and the Music Teacher's National Association. Jennie was an active member of APIA for several years.  In her free time, Jennie relaxed by watching baseball games and playing with her four kittens.

She is deeply missed.
