Capital Asset Accounting
Capital Asset Accounting (CAA) is responsible for the accurate recording of all land, buildings, and capital equipment acquired by MCCCD to ensure that these assets are accounted for in accordance with State and Federal regulations. The Capital Assets Accounting Department is also responsible for maintaining the capital inventory database and reporting database information.
Capital Asset Accounting enters and maintains inventory records using the College Financial System (CFS). Records are entered for all the MCCCD's colleges and sites.
To ensure compliance with District standards and procedures, CAA provides training and advice on policy, process, and accounting for construction projects and equipment. |
