Loading
Summary
|
There are four main loading periods of the
Institutional Research Information System (IRIS) throughout the year.
Each load is an extract of MCCCD's RDS System performed by ITS.
1. Weekly (WK) loads are performed on Saturday evening/Sunday
Mornings weekly.
2. Beginning of Term (BT) loads are performed for spring and fall terms
at the end of the
first full week of classes. BT only includes data for the current
term; no future/past terms are included in this load.
3. 45th Day (45) loads are an extract performed on the evening of 45th
day for spring or fall term. 45th
includes the loading of the FTSE_Details table with FTSE_Type_Code of
'B' or basic classes.
4. End of Term (ET) loads are an extract on approximately the fifth
Saturday after the end of a
term. The ET load updates the term from one past year through the
term just ended.(see notes below)
The other significant load is at the end of the Fiscal Year. Year-end
loads are an extract performed at the end of the
academic year. The FTSE_Details table is updated with
FTSE_Type_Code of 'O' or 'S' or Open Entry or Short term classes.
There is no YE
snap shot.

Terms to load is determined by current month and changes on the first
day of that month. Term changes on/after October 1(fall, spring and
summer I and II), January 1(prior fall, spring, summer I and II),
February 1(spring, summer I and II, fall) and July 1(summer I and II,
fall and spring).
Example: For the Academic Year 2008-2009, the weekly load based on the
month will load as following:
August 2008 - September 2008 = Terms 4084 forward
October 2008 - January 2009 = Terms 4086 forward
February 2009 - June 2009 = Terms 4092 forward
July 2009 - September 2009 = Term 4094 forward
