Curriculum Committee
Statement of Purpose
- To serve as an advisory group to the Counseling Instructional Council.
- To provide a systematic review of CPD, CWE, BHS, and PGR courses.
- To provide leadership in the development of new counseling courses.
- To assist counselors with the development of new counseling courses
as part of the curriculum approval process.
- To act as a liaison between CIC and other curriculum groups.
- To sponsor workshops on teaching and learning processes.

Goals for 2001-2002
- To develop and maintain a website for curriculum matters that is part
of the
- Counseling Instructional Council home page.

- To initiate dialogue with NAU representatives regarding CPD160 as Liberal
Studies
- elective credit.

- To identify existing counseling courses that have not been examined
- since 1995 and initiate a review process for selected courses.

- To research Internet based counseling courses taught in post-secondary
- educational institutions and develop summary materials for CIC.

- Review and assist new course development and modifications of existing
courses.

- Senior Americans for possible adaptation for internet delivery.

- regarding CPD courses meeting their criteria for elective credit.
