A draft of the February minutes was reviewed and approved. Barbara will       forward the approved minutes to Jeannie so these can be posted on the       Counseling Curriculum Committee web site.

II.    CPD 150 Course Evaluation by UA

A packet of curriculum materials requesting re-evaluation for elective status was        forwarded to Dr. Mary Briden and Don Richardson. They will take the CPD       150 materials to Bill Fee, evaluator of transfer credit at UA. A response from        UA is expected within four weeks.

III. Course Review and Proposed Modifications

A. CPD 126 Writing Resumes (Barbara Gordon)

Review completed with extensive modifications to course description, competencies and outline. Recommended changes were endorsed by Counseling Curriculum Committee. Barbara Gordon will take CPD 126 through the campus and district curriculum process.

B. CPD 103BL Dynamics of Leadership (Jim Rubin)

Proposed changes to CPD 103BL were not endorsed by Counseling Curriculum Committee. Jeannie will notify Jim Rubin of the decision and make suggestions for a continued review process.

C. CPD 102AH and CPD 102AR (Fred Wieck)

Fred wants to extend his time for reviewing Stress Management and Relaxation Training. He will submit the two proposals to CCC at a later meeting.

D. Review Cycle for 2001

Jeannie updated and distributed the list of courses to be reviewed and designated group leaders. Olivia Lara agreed to lead reviews of the Personal Development courses related to ethnic populations. Jeannie will ask Marianne Roccaforte if she is willing to lead the review for CPD 100, Orientation for Student Development. The Counseling Curriculum Committee will consider completing the list of designated groups for January 2001-December 2001 by reviewing CPD 101, Personal Development, and CPD 103BF, Personal Development for Senior Adults. Jeannie will copy the course bank materials for CPD 101 and CPD 103BF so they can be looked at by members of the CCC.

IV.    CPD 250 Peer Mentor Training (new course proposal)

Jeannie worked with Marianne Roccaforte to revise the new course proposal         submitted at the December meeting. Members of the CCC endorsed the         revised CPD 250 new course proposal and commented that the content is more         focused now and appropriate for a group counseling course. Jeannie will         notify Marianne and Rene Barrios that CPD 250 will be moving through the         campus and district curriculum process.

V.    End-of-Year Report

Jeannie will start work on a draft of the annual report for CIC. In order for        CCC members to review this draft at the April 11 meeting, members are asked to        email their thoughts and comments regarding 1) accomplishments during        2000-2001, 2) unfinished tasks and 3) recommendations for next year. Jeannie        will need this information prior to April 4. Jeannie and Barbara stated that their        terms on the Counseling Curriculum Committee concludes in May. Cori will        remain a member of CCC and liaison to CIC, but a new committee chair will be        needed.
