Eligibility for the Programs
  • Pathways Internship
    • Full-time Governing Board-approved employees
    • Employed at least two full years
    • Not on probation or under disciplinary action
    • Eligibility requirements for an Internship is every 5 years.
    • Employees working thirty hours or less per week and those on restricted monies (one-year, externally funded, community service) are not eligible.
  • Maricopa Learns Through Service
    • Full-time Governing Board approved employees and specially funded employees
    • Employed at least two full years
    • Not on probation or under disciplinary action
    • Employees working thirty hours or less per week and those on restricted monies (one-year, externally funded, community service) are not eligible.
    • MLTS placements can be renewed after the initial 3-6 month period with new or additional learning objectives.

    • Open to all employees
Criteria for Program Approval
  • The Program Coordinator will review placement ideas and apply the following criteria to ensure a project is eligible for approval:
    • Is the employee eligible to participate in Creative Pathways programs?
    • Is the proposed length of the project appropriate?
    • Does the supervisor and the administration support the proposal?
    • Does the application align with the employee's professional or personal goals and enhance the educational objectives of the Maricopa Community Colleges?
    • Are the project objectives achievable?
    • Is the placement site appropriate for the achievement of these objectives?
