Scholarship Information

We are excited to announce that ten scholarships for the Academic Year 2008-2009 were recently awarded to deserving students from across the Maricopa District. Applications for 2009-2010 will be accepted from March 1 - July 1, 2009.

Northern Arizona University Distance Learning will be offering ten - $1,000 scholarships per academic year to newly admitted Maricopa Community College transfer students.

NAU encourages students to complete an associate's degree in order to maximize the amount of transferable credit from the Maricopa Community Colleges.

Students must meet the following requirements:

Admission into an NAU Distance Learning Program — delivered locally or on-line
30 Credit Hours Earned from a Maricopa Community College
GPA of 2.5 or higher
Enrollment at NAU for a minimum of 6 hours per academic semester
FAFSA (federal financial aid) Form Required
Applications accepted until July 1 of each year

The NAU Distance Learning Scholarship Program is awarded to students in good academic standing. An essay and unofficial transcripts are required for scholarship consideration.

Scholarships will be awarded in summer for the following fall and spring semesters. The scholarship is non-renewable.
