Animal Feeding
Basic principles of animal nutrition and digestion. Selection, evaluation and use of feeds to economically meet the needs of various classes of farm animals. Study of ruminants and non-ruminants and how they utilize feed. The essentials of a balanced ration and how each essential element is obtained and used by the animal. Feed materials, quality and preparation considered in developing balanced rations. Prerequisites: None.
