Enhancement of teaching skills and improvement of the teaching/learning process. Includes three "mini-lesson" teaching experiences including immediate video, written and oral feedback. Opportunities as instructor and participant/observer. Preparation for Instructional Skills Workshop facilitator training. Prerequisites: Teacher Certification.

1. As instructor, inform participants regarding instructional objectives including Instructional Skill Workshop (ISW) definition of terms, methods and techniques. (I, II)
2. As instructor, write a "mini-lesson" instructional plan. (I, II)
3. As instructor, utilize specific techniques during your lessons to test teaching effectiveness. (II)
4. As instructor, conduct a participatory classroom session. (II)
5. As instructor, utilize instructional aids including chalkboard, flip chart and overhead projector. (II)
6. As instructor, utilize effective questioning techniques during a classroom session as measured by participant/observers evaluations. (II)
7. As instructor, evaluate student learning in relation to performance objectives. (II)
8. As instructor, demonstrate competence and confidence as measured by participant/observers evaluations. (II)
9. As participant/observer, give objective feedback to instructor according to Instructional Skill Workshop (ISW) teaching components. (III)
