1. Select and operate electrical test equipment and hand tools demonstrating appropriate safety procedures. (I)
2. Identify specific electrical symbols, explain logic related to line diagrams and develop line diagrams. (II)
3. Describe the operation of contactors and motor starters including specific types of overloads. (III)
4. Define "magnetism" and explain the principal of magnetic solenoids. (IV)
5. Describe the operation of time delay devices, explain the use of timing graphs and demonstrate the use of numbering systems in developing complex line diagrams. (V)
6. Describe the operation of specific control devices and intergrate these devices into line diagrams. (VI)
7. Explain principles of reversing circuits and develop line diagrams with reversing circuits for single-phase, three-phase and DC motors. (VII)
8. Identify specific components of power distribution systems and identify specific types of transformers used in power distribution systems. (VIII)
9. Describe the operation and application of electro-mechanical and solid state relays. (IX)
10. Explain the operation of specific types of AC reduced voltage starters. (X)
