Hands-on practice sessions devoted to good horsekeeping skills. Includes temperature, pulse, respiration, methods of restraint. Examines intramuscular injections, oral medications, emergency first aid, exercise management and alternative healing therapy. Prerequisites: (EQS105 and EQS145), or permission of department. |

Demonstrate proper methods of haltering, leading and picking up feet. (I) |

Identify and demonstrate common methods of restraint. (II) |

Identify and demonstrate appropriate clipping and trimming techniques. (IV) |
