MTR222   20052-99999 Advanced Surgical Transcription
1. With increasing speed and accuracy, transcribe increasingly complex medical dictation from medical specialty offices from originators who may exhibit accents and dialects. (I, II)
2. Demonstrate increasing skill and accuracy in transcriptionist proofreading. (III)
3. Utilize medical terminology and Business English skills to proofread, edit, revise and clarify medical dictation without altering the meaning of the document or changing the originator's style. (IV)
4. Research unfamiliar procedures, language or terminology using appropriate references or resources. (V)
5. Recognize discrepancies in dictation and clarify/edit according to standard transcription procedures. (VI)
6. Apply medico-legal principles related to inpatient settings. (VII)
