Anatomy/physiology and specific pathological conditions, radiopharmaceuticals, equipment, techniques, indications, patient preparation, and image interpretation for the endocrine system, soft-tissues and nonorgan systems. General radionuclide therapy pathology, techniques, rationale and specific procedures. Principles, theory and practices of radio- and non-radioactive assay. Introduction to Positron Emission Tomography (P.E.T.), Single-photon Emission Computerized Tomography (S.P.E.C.T.) and other imaging modalities. Prerequisites: NMT230 or permission of program director or department chair.
