This group provides both database and application administration services for all of our Enterprise Applications and supports service for over 120,000 students, faculty, administration and staff users. The group takes delivery of servers from the Infrastructure team and assumes responsibility for the installation, configuration, management, and tuning of delivered or in-house applications. Responsibilities include:

• All databases supporting SIS, HR, CFS, R25, Data Warehousing (IRIS), Blackboard, Decision Support (DSS), Enterprise Reporting (RDS), College Shadow Systems (CDS)
• Applications architecture configuration for all major Enterprise Applications
• Upgrade, bundle applications and patch fix of both applications and database servers
• Management of web servers, application servers and batch servers supporting Enterprise Applications
• Backup and restore procedures for Enterprise Applications (SIS, HR, BDS)
• Performance monitoring and tuning using multiple tools (Oracle Grid, Spotlight, Precise)
• Failover and Disaster recovery for Enterprise databases
• Daily monitoring of production environments
