DAC Awards of Excellence: Weaving Threads of Change
On May 3, 2007, the Diversity Advisory Council celebrated its inaugural Recognition Luncheon at South Mountain Community College to honor efforts from throughout the district that promote excellence in diversity and inclusion at each college in support of Maricopa’s commitment to student success.
Nominations were invited for an individual employee, a team of employees, a program or an initiative that:
- Enhanced existing practices or programs by incorporating inclusive ideas
- Demonstrated leadership and dedication by creating and implementing programs, strategies or initiatives that expanded inclusion at their college or site
- Identified and removed barriers to access and opportunity at their college or site.
