Latino Student Association Club Advisors

The Latino Student Association was founded in 2008 and recognizedSCC Latino Studen Association officers sitting with fundraising materials as the best new club at SCC by Student Life and Leadership.  The club unifies SCC students interested in Latino culture and issues.  It promotes and supports academic excellence and the pride that accompanies the knowledge of self and culture.  The club provides social and educational opportunities for the members of the association as well as the larger SCC student body in an effort to foster greater understanding of Latino culture and heritage.

Through volunteer, cultural and social activities, The Latino Student Association provides the opportunity for all SCC students learn about and celebrate the contributions of the Hispanic culture. Students participate in peer and advisor support encouraging student retention and future recruitment opportunities.
The club is open to all students and contributes to a campus climate that encourages openness and inclusiveness.
