Chandler-Gilbert
celebrated its first annual Native American
Heritage Day on November 15, 2003. The
event, sponsored by Eagle Feather, CGCC’s
Native American student organization, included
food
booths, activities for children and a market
place featuring Native American artists.
The event featured traditional dancing
and singing with Vincent Craig, the T.R.S.
Crown
Dancers and the Yellow Bird Dancers. Eagle
Feather is a group for Native American
students interested in campus and community
issues
and service endeavors. The mission of Eagle
Feather is to promote and enhance cultural
awareness, educational advancement and
leadership development.
