Once again, the Maricopa Community Colleges will link with the Instituto Tecnológico de Hermosillo for this short-term intercultural learning experience. From November 8-12, 2000, Maricopa faculty, staff and students will visit Sonora and immerse themselves in Mexican culture as they reside with host families.
The Americans will reciprocate by providing food and lodging for their Mexican friends from April 18-22, 2001. Together, the participants will attend a variety of educational, sports, civic and business activities.
All participants must be registered in SPA 298 AA (one credit/special project class). Two orientation classes are required. Participants do not have to know Spanish. The cost is $65, which includes tuition, international student insurance and materials. A $5 registration will be required for new students. Bus transportation to and from Mexico will be provided.
