Learn About Native American Cultures!

A Native American Cultures session will be offered in December and feature three panels representing members of various tribes with the Maricopa Community College District and throughout Arizona. The first panel will consist of tribal members who are MCCCD employees. Their focus will be to present their perspectives on being Native Americans working within a "white man's" environment. The second panel, consisting of Native American students, will discuss their experiences within the MCCCD. Elders of the Salt River reservation will comprise the third panel. They will share their knowledge of local history, and discuss their concerns about education and other issues.

The event is scheduled for the Employee Lounge at the MCCCD on Tuesday, December 5, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Everyone is invited.
