Maricopa Community Colleges

Convocations 2012 Updated

Maricopa traditionally offers students the opportunity to celebrate graduation through culturally focused convocations. Convocations are smaller more intimate graduation celebrations that are focused on a particular discipline, skill or culture. Maricopa’s cultural convocations are open to students from all ten colleges.

Cultural convocations are a way Maricopa affirms our students and reaches out to families and friends in a way that is culturally meaningful. All convocations are open to all graduates who wish to participate in a culturally specific ceremony. Convocations are open to employees, family and friends of graduates who wish to celebrate with the students. Because of capacity limits, some convocations may limit the number of guests per student.

Updated information on this year’s culturally specific convocations is listed below. Note changes to the date for the Asian Pacific Islander event and the location change for the Native American event.  Please watch for additional updates with more information on who to contact to attend, to help, more specifics on location, etc.
