DAC Awards of Excellence 2009 -- Weaving Threads of Change
The Diversity Advisory Council is currently inviting nominations for this year’s DAC Awards of Excellence. This is an opportunity for all of Maricopa to celebrate the efforts of faculty, staff and students in our continued efforts to create an inclusive and respectful community throughout the district.
This will be the third year of recognitions for all ten colleges, the Maricopa Skills Center and the District Office.
Nominations are being sought for individuals, groups, programs or initiatives that support one or more of the Chancellor's three pillars, One Maricopa, Public Stewardship and Student Success, through diversity and inclusion efforts.
Answer the questions below and submit the responses to your college’s diversity coordinator by March 1 , 2009. A subcommittee at each college will select the award recipient and forward that information to DAC.
Nomination questions:
- Name of individual, group, program or initiative
- Description of effort
- How does this effort link to diversity and inclusion?
- How does this effort support Student Sucess, Public Stewardship and/or One Maricopa?
- How do you know the effort has made a difference?
There will be one award from each college.
