Arizona
is one of four cities being considered for the new headquarters
of the International Genomics Consortium, a nonprofit group headed
by prominent scientists involved in genetic research. If the Consortium
chooses Phoenix, the 21st century scientists who come here to work
will require biotechnically trained employees to help them reach
their goals. Additionally, biotech industries are growing rapidly,
and their impact on our economy and community will become increasingly
more apparent. |
