TO TWO November 15, 2001 – Two finalists have been named in the search for a GateWay Community College President. Dr. Eugene Giovannini, currently the Vice President of Burlington County College in Pemberton, New Jersey… and Dr. Diana Sloane, currently the Vice Chancellor of Education and Technology at Los Rios Community College in Sacramento, California have been recommended to the Chancellor for consideration by the Presidential Search Committee. Giovannini and Sloane will now take part in a series of interviews with other school and district officials as well as employee groups on Monday, November 19th on the GateWay campus. The candidates will go before the Chancellor, the vice chancellors, college presidents from throughout the district, and groups of educators during the day-long screening. The public is invited to sit-in on the forums from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Center for Health Careers Education Building, in Room 1106, the auditorium. “GateWay Community College plays a significant role in the training of many specialty industry employees, from health care to manufacturing,” according to Chancellor Fred Gaskin. “Business has strong ties to our programs and people at GateWay.
