Chesrown November 30, 2000 Bleed Re-Elected EDUCAUSE ChairGreater Phoenix - Ronald D. Bleed, Vice Chancellor of Information Technologies, Maricopa County Community College District (Arizona), has been re-elected chairman of the board for EDUCAUSE, an association of colleges, universities and other organizations dedicated to the transformation of higher education. Through direct services and cooperative efforts, EDUCAUSE assists members and provides leadership for critical issues about the role of information technologies in higher education. Bleed has served on the board for over four years. Bleed has been in higher education for more than 30 years and has worked in the Maricopa County Community College District for 19 years. He is responsible for administrative and academic computing, applications programming and an integrated voice, data and video communications network spanning the 10 colleges and the Maricopa Skill Centers. He has written several major articles and textbook chapters and is well known for his public presentations on topics related to information technologies and their role in higher education. The Maricopa County Community College District is composed of 10 community colleges, several satellite campuses, skill centers and business/industry, technical and customized training institutes.
