  • RIO OFFERS ONLINE TEACHER PREP

Rio Salado College has presented details of its new Online Teacher Preparation Program to nearly 500 potential students during four recent orientations. The program, which leads to elementary or secondary teacher certification by the State of Arizona, capitalizes on e-learning by offering the courses in an Internet format. These courses can be taken anytime and anyplace that is convenient for students - at home, at work, by the pool this summer, or even from an airplane cruising at 35,000 feet.

A special feature of these courses is that they begin every two weeks and can be accelerated with instructor approval. The target market for this program is people who already hold Bachelor's degrees and would like to teach, but need additional credits to make a career transition.
