ANIMAL IMAGERY DRAWINGS
 |
Animal Imagery Drawings by Sharon Di Giacinto are on display at
Phoenix College Art Gallery from now through November 1, 2000. Her
animal imagery is summarized in a brief quote from An American
Bestiary by Mary Sayre Haverstock: "The art of the animal, the
oldest art on earth, has taken many turns since the Stone Age
man first scratched the outlines of the ibex and bison and the
wooly mammoth on the walls of the caves, but it remains a
powerful and persistent metaphor for life itself and for man's
continuing dialogue with nature."
Gallery hours are Monday through Friday: 12:30 - 4:30pm. To
preview more of Sharon DiGiacinto's work, go to www.pc.maricopa.edu/departments/art/index.html
