June began her employment with the Maricopa Community Colleges serving at Glendale Community College as an Adjunct Instructor for the Psychology Department since Spring Semester 2002, where she has taught Introduction to Psychology, Psychology and Culture and Developmental Psychology. She also served as the Adjunct Faculty Representative for the campus from April 2007 through October 2007.
She has also taught in the Master and Bachelor programs at both Grand Canyon University and Ottawa University which included coursework in human resources management, organizational development, training and leadership development.
June holds a Master’s degree in Human Resources Management with a concentration in Organization Development from Ottawa University. Her Bachelor of Science degree is from Grand Canyon University where she majored in both Human Resources Development and Psychology. In addition she has taken all the coursework, including passing ‘comps’ for a doctoral degree in Educational Leadership at Northern Arizona University. She holds the Senior Professional in Human Resources Certification (SPHR) earned through the Society of Human Resources Management.
Her prior experience working in human resources includes serving as Human Resources Administrator, for RISE, Inc., an agency providing services for individuals with physical and developmental disabilities in Arizona, Washington, Utah, & Colorado. She has also served as Human Resources Director for the national offices of the Make-A-Wish foundation of America, and the Director of Human Resources at Grand Canyon University. She is very excited about being a member of the EEO/AA team here at the District Office!

Erma began employment with the Maricopa Community College District in 1976-1981, she broke employment for a brief time; and went to work for the City of Phoenix (5-yrs) where she gained valuable knowledge and expertise in the area of management and leadership; dealing with diverse clientele of various backgrounds, which has helped her to work with people from all walks of life. Erma also completed the Maricopa Council on Black American Affairs (MCBAA) Leadership Academy for the academic year of 2004/2005, and is very proud to be a MCBAA Fellow.
Erma attended the University of Arizona, attaining a degree in Business and Public Administration; she also attended Thomas Beckett University and has a ministerial degree in Bible (Gth). Erma worked in a banking institution during her brief time away from Maricopa as well; this experience allowed her to use and apply her accounting and bookkeeping skills here in Maricopa, as well as her knowledge of portfolio account management.
Erma has a total of 24 years of employment here in the District, 20 consecutive years in the Maricopa System; she started out in the Affirmative Action Office when the District Office was located at the GateWay College campus. Erma later transferred to GateWay College, where she worked in several administrative positions prior to returning to the EEO/AA Office. Erma states that she is happy to once again be a part of the Affirmative Action Office.
