About this site
We’ve created the Finance and Budget Communique to help employees of the Maricopa Community Colleges keep abreast of developments about the Arizona economy and its effect on our budget. Here you will find information on the state economy and links to a number of websites that contain periodically updated material on the state’s economic condition. I want to encourage employees who want to stay up to date on this subject to subscribe to this feed or visit these pages from time to time.
Our goal is to be as transparent as possible in reporting the district’s response to the state’s economic crisis. We know every employee is concerned about the actions we take. We want this site to be a place to find the latest information on budget matters, as well as archived information on the subject.
In the section labeled “Categories,” you’ll find three areas:
- “How can we economize?” is the place where you can make suggestions. I can assure you that every suggestion will be carefully considered. You can identify yourself or remain anonymous.
- “Messages from Leadership” will contain selected messages from college presidents and district leaders to their employees, as well as my messages to employees.
- “Resources” is an explanation of the links that also are found on this page.
Maricopa’s response to the state’s economic crisis is a concern to all of us. I encourage you to remain connected to Maricopa as we respond to the state’s financial problems, and to visit this new site periodically.
Sincerely,
Rufus Glasper
