Medical Insurance

MCCCD offers two different Medical Plans.
Both plans are administered by Zenith Administrators Inc.

CallMD (pdf)

  • CallMD is a non-emergency medical service
  • Nationwide network of licensed and board certified physicians that can diagnose, treat and provide prescriptions for non-narcotic/non-DEA controlled substances.
  • All calls are coordinated through CallMD's 24/7 medical call center and is staffed with registered nurses.
  • Call 866-953-4140 for service

Clinics

Clinics offer convenient, no-appointment needed options for treatment by a licensed physician's assistant or nurse practitioner for non-emergency medical conditions such as: Minor cuts and scrapes, examination of certain skin conditions and minor illnesses.

These retail clinic visits fall under your primary care physician office visit benefit. An in-network copay, deductible and/or coinsurance may apply. Please remember that your prescriptions are not covered at Walgreens.

Blue365 Discount Program

  • Health & Wellness - Exclusive discounts on health and wellness products and services, including fitness, exercise, nutrition and elective procedures. Choose from Snap Fitness, Polar, Sportline, Everlast, Reebok, Men's Health, Women's Health, Jenny Craig, eDiets, Nutrisystem, Davis Vision, QualSight LASIK and LasikPlus. You can also save on hearing aids from Belton and TruHearing.
  • Family Care - Decision support tools for family care, including how to choose a caregiver or a long-term care insurance provider. Eligible individuals can also access emotional support to deal with care of a family member from companies like Seniorlink Care.
  • Healthy Travel - Blue365 offers exclusive travel savings for healthy spa vacations and wellness getaways from compaines like Westin Hotels & Resorts and Fairmont Hotels & Resorts.
  • Financial Well-Being - Blue365 includes information to help plan for healthcare in retirement and learn about Medicare and long-term care insurance.
  • Complimentary and Alternative Medicine - Find exclusive discounts with Healthyroads.
  • These programs are NOT insurances, but percentage discounts off of regular fees
  • Available to only employees and dependents enrolled in the MCCCD medical plan.
  • This new service does not change or replace your existing coverage/benefits, it is a supplemental program.

Women's Health and Cancer Rights Act
The Women's Health and Cancer Rights Act of 1998 requires group health plans and health insurance issuers that cover mastectomies to also cover re-constructive surgery or other related services following a mastectomy.
