Vacation time is not applicable to Faculty, one semester only, or one year only employees.
PS, Crafts, Skill Center, Safety, Specially Funded and M&O employees are eligible for:

An employee will have their vacation accruals begin on the first working day following Governing Board approval (service date) or hire date whichever is later. When applicable, accrual rate for vacation will be adjusted on the employee's service date.
Vacation benefits for a given calendar year must be taken no later than December 31 of the following calendar year (see banking of vacation below).
MAT employees accrue vacation hours on a calendar year basis. MAT employee's will accrue .076923 vacation hours for each hour paid or 6.15 hours per pay period. This equates to one hundred sixty 160 hours for twelve (12) month full-time employees. All others will have their vacation benefits pro-rated.
Vacation benefits for a given calendar year must be taken no later than December 31 of the following calendar year (see banking of vacation).
Specially Funded (SPF) employees will accrue the same number of vacation days as their counterparts in a regular Governing Board approved policy group. Employees hired in specially funded faculty positions or whose external funding source prohibits vacation hours are not eligible to earn vacation.
Banking of Vacation Time
CEC, MAT, PS, Craft, Safety, Skill Center, M&O, and SPF* employees may carryover up to one years accrual of vacation hours.
On December 31, each year, banking of vacation hours will occur for those employees eligible. The banking of hours will be done
on a calendar year basis. The number of hours that can be banked (grandfathered) each December 31, are listed below. Please refer to your employee
policy group manual for changes that may have been made prior to this listing.

Purging of excess vacation hours
At the end of each calendar year, CEC, MAT, PS, Crafts, Safety, Skill Center, M&O and SPF employees will have
their vacation hours purged if they exceed one year's accumulation plus the amount that will be banked, if any.
