Director Building & Grounds
Directs the overall custodial, grounds, and crafts activities necessary to operate and maintain the grounds and buildings of assigned college. This position works in the area of Maintenance and Operations. Work contacts include administrators, faculty, staff, students, general public, vendors, contractors and regulatory agency staff. Equipment used includes computer, drafting equipment, and a variety of grounds, custodial equipment; HVAC and other crafts equipment as needed.
Common Work Activities
- Develops and controls department budget; supervises and evaluates assigned maintenance and operations employees
- Coordinates construction activities with District staff and contractors; develops and administers departmental policies and procedures; makes recommendations for physical plant maintenance and repairs, and accommodations for disability access
- Initiates requisitions for the purchase of materials and supplies
- Files reports on accidents, vandalism, thefts and burglaries; supervises preparations for scheduled college events;
- Prepares payroll requests, absence and other administrative reports
- This position is on 24-hour emergency call, and may require State of Arizona license for pesticide spraying.

Supervisor Building Operations
Supervises college custodial maintenance staff and oversees all custodial services; interface with internal and external users of facilities. Lead Groundskeeper

Coordinates and supervises all phases of the College Custodial Services and activities for assigned shifts. This position supervises, directs and controls the daily custodial services and responsibilities of the Custodial Department for the college. Building Maintenance Technician

- Familiar with governmental codes and regulations related to safety, fire, construction and public access
- Performs preventative maintenance on the following: air conditioning cooling towers, closed loop water treatment, heat pumps, air filters, floor drains, etc; investigates and trouble shoots all equipment failures and malfunctions before calling outside repairmen;
- Coordinates and supervises work performed by outside contractors for maintenance and construction; performs minor repairs or remodeling projects such as painting, replacing broken toilet fixtures, etc;
- makes keys, installs locksets, maintains and adjusts hardware; prepares and hangs doors; maintains and replaces supplies and equipment such as toilet supplies and fluorescent light fixtures;

Coordinator Occupational Health & Safety Programs
Plans, organizes, and manages the overall administrative and operational activities of an Occupational Health and Safety Program (OH&S). Directs, implements, and coordinates the enforcement of district policies and regulations, and federal, state, and local laws as they pertain to OSHA compliance to achieve and ensure a safe and healthful environment for students, faculty, staff, and the community.

- Identifies, plans, develops, and implements OH&S programs and procedures at assigned location
- Promotes, develops, assesses and evaluates OH&S programs and training plans
- Performs needs analysis and identifies, facilitates, and coordinates safety training

Director Public Safety
Plans, organizes and controls the administrative and operational activities of the College Safety Department. Directs, coordinates and supervises the enforcement of federal, state and local laws as they pertain to the college campus. Enforces District rules and regulations to maintain order and ensure a safe environment for students, faculty, staff and the general public. Retains responsibility for police activities on a college campus and campus satellites.

College Safety Officer
Organizes and controls the administrative and operational activities of the College Safety Department, at a branch campus or center, under the direction of the Director College Safety. Enforce district rules and regulations to maintain order and ensure a safe environment for students, faculty, staff, and the general public.

- Implements approved law enforcement methods; may be required to arrest, detain, or subdue a resisting offender using necessary force when appropriate
